The location and type of abdominal pain varies depending on the cause.
Immediate medical attention should be sought if abdominal pain is associated with a trauma or injury or if it occurs with fever, vomiting, blood in the stool, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or swelling and tenderness of the belly.
